The Doppler Effect
- a stationary object releases sound waves symmetrically
- a moving object’s sound will have a higher frequency in the front and a lower frequency behind it
- an object traveling at Mach 1 will not be heard in front or until it passes by
- an object traveling faster than the speed of sound will lead the sound and produce two sonic booms
